Gábor Gyenes: 133 Wounds

133 Wounds

The graphic novel 133 Wounds captures the rise of the mafia in Dunajská Streda, a small town in southern Slovakia. In the 1990s, the intensity of terror caused by the local underworld reached unprecedented levels. The story is told from two perspectives—through the eyes of criminals and from the viewpoint of the police. The work is an adaptation of the non-fiction book Buried Truth by Dávid Barák.
