Eva studied painting at the Technical University in Košice and graphics at the Academy of Fine Arts. She has published comics in several collections, and her illustrations complement two books. She is also launching her own project called Kraťasy.
You had the opportunity to see Eva at the Panel several times. During the first edition, she talked about her new project Kraťasy and participated in Artist Alley. For BRaK x Panel 2025, she prepared an exciting Masterclass on storytelling for you.

About Kraťasy
Kraťasy is an emerging project focused on short comics and serialized comics. They have presented themselves with the comic “Říkají mi Morana,” from which three episodes have been published so far, all with a script by Tomáš Červený and illustrations by Eva Ondová. The story fictionalizes events surrounding the Velvet Revolution in Prague and involves beings from Slavic mythology. The main character, Morana, the goddess of death, has a simple wish that she cannot fulfill: to live an ordinary life.

Kraťasy regularly publish the All Souls’ Day anthology of genre comics, mainly horror comics, which has released three issues and is preparing a fourth. An exception to the All Souls’ Day schedule was an edition focused on witches, published for their spring festival.

Zloba features Slovak and Czech authors, among whom the frequently published include Kateřina Tesařová, Lukáš Komárek, Tomáš Červený, Tomáš Pánek, Ondřej Malina, and Eva Ondová.

Storytelling
One comic page can convey a wealth of information. How not to get lost while creating it? We will cover the basics, but also learn how to influence the pacing of the story through the size and arrangement of panels. It doesn’t matter if you are an experienced illustrator or just starting out.
