Dear artists,
We are pleased to invite you to the 13th edition of the Bratislava Book Festival BRaK 2026, in collaboration with the comics conference Panel, which will host the comics program. Within this framework, the Artist Alley will take place, a sales exhibition of artworks. We would be delighted if you join us with your creations.
The Artist Alley is a space for both professional and amateur artists to showcase their work, accept commissions, and sell their prints, publications, or merchandise. This year’s BRaK festival carries the theme “We Need to Talk…”, and we hope that our Artist Alley will become a place for conversations with art fans, fellow artists, and professional partners.
The BRaK festival will take place from May 27 to May 31, 2026, once again in the city centre of Bratislava. The Panel conference and the Artist Alley will run from May 29 to May 31 (opening hours: Friday 12:00–20:00, Saturday 10:00–20:00, Sunday 10:00–17:00).
IMPORTANT CHANGE!
This year, the artists’ sales exhibition will take place directly at Františkánske Square, in the heart of the BRaK festival, close to the publishers’ book market. The organizers will provide a table and partial shade with umbrellas.

Please make sure that you arrange all requirements for legal sales. For more information, see the section What do I need to sell at the festival, where you will find instructions for both registered freelancers and artists without a trade license.
The capacity for the Artist Alley is limited, and the space is paid (80 € per table for three exhibition days – Friday, Saturday, Sunday). The festival organizers will select the participants from all submitted applications. Applications are not binding for the organizers, and we will inform you by email whether your application has been accepted.
Detailed organizational instructions will be sent to confirmed participants. We will also promote you on our social media and list you on the festival website in the Participants section. The application deadline is April 10, 2026.
